Job Description

This AV Support Specialist will support the meeting room Audio Visual systems on site in our corporate office in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. They will be expected to provide direct end user and executive support of standard and integrated rooms and shared spaces. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain the AV systems based on global processes (fully enabled)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts around Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Rooms and Conferencing, Zoom, Webex, etc.
  • Deliver regular testing of the systems, including daily walkthrough and setting up of the executive conference rooms.
  • Provide training and support to business users
  • Deliver first level support to users as needed.
  • Escalate issues to Admins and other Support Teams as required (eg. vendor issues, backend issues)
  • Authorize / Onboard Meeting Rooms in Microsoft 365
  • Initiate system updates on MTR systems
  • Participation in ad hoc projects as needed

Job Requirements

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the area of AV technology and ability to perform all facets of the role.
  • Experience troubleshooting varied issues that may arise with the AV equipment and different video conferencing technologies including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and manage projects with minimal oversight from their supervisor.
  • Works autonomously in delivering installation services and providing on-site technical support to users.
  • Prepares documentation to record and track project status.

  • Excellent understanding of internal service processes.
  • Strong technical and product knowledge.

 

Problem Solving

  • Ability to leverage advanced troubleshooting strategies to address complex technical issues.
  • Independently assesses and adjusts technical solutions based on the specific issue.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in determining the most appropriate course.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience (5+ Years) with supporting customers utilizing Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Rooms and Conferencing hardware configurations.

 

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to provide white-glove support to executive team.
  • Manage escalated situations with a focus on building positive end user experience.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
