Job Overview:

This position runs Utilities Systems and Operations Quality Support Tasks with responsibilities like In-Process Quality Testing that are in support of the efficient operation of fabrication production lines which make Anagram’s industry leading balloons. The Fabrication Utilities and Operations Quality Support role is responsible for collecting samples, execute testing, ensuring the product is meeting or surpassing standards, reporting results and that all quality processes are being followed ensuring our operations are flowing in an efficient manner while meeting production floor standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collect in-process product burst testing samples as generated by the automated sampling
    • system.
  • Burst the test sample following procedure 313.21– ensure that you are reviewing the failure mode to prevent future defects from occurring.
  • Review the quality of print and report any concerns to Supervision/QAI Auditors.
  • Assess any defects found during testing or audits, and ensure product is quarantined for further
    • inspection and testing.
  • Have good knowledge of processes in fabrication, printing, extrusion and slitting, particularly those related to product / quality testing.  Be able to carry out in process testing if required.
  • Carry out process audits in all Manufacturing areas to ensure that procedures are being   followed and processes are in control.
  • When necessary, fill in for QAI Auditors when on PTO or if behind in their work due to quality
    • issues that have arisen.
  • Assist RD&E in monitoring trials, as assigned by the Quality Manager.
  • Other projects as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Manager.

  • Know and follow all PCHI/Anagram SAFETY policies and procedures.
  • Support as needed the tasks for in-process quality testing procedures of manufactured product and understand the different quality issues of the balloon and how those correlates to the setting of the equipment.
  • Understand the importance of fabrication lines machine efficiency to meet department production goals and meet machine efficiency. Eventually reach a level of understanding to support the Fabrication Equipment Owners.

Participate in continuous process improvement teams

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of onboarding training to the Fabrication and Quality Department
  • Successful completion of Safety Training
  • Completion and Qualification on Quality Systems and Testing.
  • High School or equivalent work experience
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to manage the pace of the operations, at times busy workload, maintaining attention to detail and collaboration
  • May include learning Level 1 Fab Machine operator skillset
  • Willingness to learn and take a hands-on approach to their required activities
  • Knowledge of quality management systems is a plus.

 

Expected Working Hours:

  • This is a position assigned to a production shift that works 12 hours shifts (day shift 6am to 6pm or night shift from 6pm to 6am)
  • Overtime can be offered to cover for open positions as needed
