Job Overview:

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing on-site machines.  In addition, the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for keeping machines in optimum condition in order to maximize the production output.  This requires keeping the machines in adjustment, knowing the different settings when changing sizes, and maintaining the quality and productivity of machines.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Service, repair, adjust and test machines, devices, moving parts and equipment that operate based on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic principles.
  • Troubleshoot, install and repair systems.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of industrial machinery or equipment.
  • Inspect and test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas.
  • Ensure daily completion of maintenance logs.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA and PCHI Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of machines, mechanical principles, and their designs.
  • Ability to operate drill press, band saw, belt sander, and other related power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, parts diagrams, drawings, and follow standard operating procedures of manufacturers and company policies.
