Job Overview:

Associate Category Manager Omni (ACM) is responsible for one or two categories and assisting the Category Manager/Category Director in the merchandising direction of a category department(s) with the goal of meeting/exceeding sales and margin and inventory turnover targets.  The ACM is accountable for sales, margin, inventory pre-planning, and merchandising objectives for the online and store business. This role will ensure the integrity and accuracy of merchandise data and will provide analysis on sales, inventory productivity, and weekly forecasts.

 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with Category Director on a competitive merchandise assortment plan that is customer focused and adjust sales plans based on competition, business needs, and industry trends
  • Executes and supports strategy and merchandising guidelines for the online assortment, including product information, photography, category information and website merchandising.
  • Executes to the merchandising calendar and strategic roadmap for assigned product categories in partnership with the Category Director.
  • Analyze all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales reports and participate in weekly business review meetings
  • Determine item lifecycles and exit strategies as well as identify items to maximize promotional and marketing strategies
  • Create and run specialized reporting as necessary
  • Manage and maintain the integrity and accuracy of planograms (i.e., samples, packaging, and price labels)
  • Assist in category presentation prep work (i.e. Create style boards and line packets)
  • Adhere to product lifecycle calendar deadlines
  • Participate in competitive research and identify trends and product opportunities for future assortments
  • Partner with design and production teams to manage the timeline on all product development
  • Daily Merchandising responsibilities, including: maintaining systems, assortment sheets and planograms for specific categories
  • Has the technical skillset to work in multiple CMS applications, guide team on efficiencies and speed and supports technology initiatives to drive the business forward.  Is seen as an expert on CMS functionality and can play role in execution and task management of business objectives.
  • Collaborate with inventory teams regularly to gain insight, strategy and Omni-channel business opportunities.
  • Understands the value of a consumer facing business and puts the customer top of mind in all strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in E-Commerce or retail experience in a merchandising or production function.
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Expected Salary Range: $64,320 $80,400

The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. PCHI reserves the right to pay more or less than the stated range based on a variety of factors such as experience, geography, etc.
