Job Overview:

The Process Engineer is responsible to develop the operating teams’ technical understanding and mastery of process control. The Process Engineer is the Centerline owner for the Manufacturing lines/system. In addition, this position will troubleshoot problems within the production process and recommend corrective actions.  He/she will also have significant input and ownership to Capital Equipment installations via 3 phase project management.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Actively participates in Daily Line/Department Meetings and execution of the daily/weekly and 90-day action plans
  • Facilitates Line(s) Loss Analysis
  • Responsible for the Centerline Management for the plant operations
  • Leads the process to identify Centerline targets and document standards
  • Develops control strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control situations
  • Develops and maintains Data systems and drives continuous improvement of line data
  • Analyses line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities
  • Leads root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the line/cell
  • Coaches’ operators on Centerline execution and problem-solving skills
  • Leads process improvements while mentoring others to improve processes
  • Analyze workflow processes within and across all departments to determine how the entire operations can work more efficiently/effectively
  • Will identify and support cost reductions in all aspects of the manufacturing and logistics operations through new and improved operating technologies and procedures
  • Recommends and supports installation of Capital projects as needed in Operations utilizing 3 phase project management tools
  • Owns CQV (Commissioning, Qualification and Verification) of all new capital installs in the operations
  • Part of a TRIO team that implements and maintains “Lean” standards on the shop floor
  • All other duties that are assigned

 

Leadership Influence:

The Process Engineer has direct contact with production, maintenance personnel, Supervision, and Management

Job Requirements

Skills Required:

  • Strong ability to identify problems, root causes and preventative measures
  • Strong ability to analyze data
  • Able to organize projects or teams throughout Anagram Intl. Inc. to accomplish broad changes and improvements
  • Ability to communicate on all levels of the company in both oral and written methods
  • Capital/Project management skills
  • Both knowledge and demonstrated TPM and Lean manufacturing experience
  • Strong computer (Microsoft office) skills
  • Strong ability to present to groups

Qualifications:

  • BS from an accredited college or university (Industrial/Mechanical Engineering) desired
  • Three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success in project management
  • Extensive knowledge in lean manufacturing
  • A background in Environment Health and Safety is preferred
