Job Overview

Anagram is looking for a candidate who has a passion for quality in manufacturing. In this leadership role you will recreate the processes, tools, and procedures to transform our quality initiative and continuously improve our manufacturing infrastructure in every aspect of product and service quality.


This position will ensure that all external and internal quality assurance standards are met before our product reaches our customer. Primary responsibilities include transforming the organization’s quality initiatives, and implementing best practices to maintain market leadership, and improve overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Establishes KPI’s to ensure performance, root cause evaluation of issues, and sustainable resolutions to all aspects of quality.
  • Assures quality products and services by establishing and enforcing quality standards, consistent processes, and testing materials and products.
  • Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with other members of management, and with production operators, technicians, and engineers.
  • Develops raw material standards by studying manufacturing and engineering requirements, conferring and negotiating with suppliers, and devising testing methods and procedures.
  • Implements supplier development programs to continually improve all incoming products:  raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Implements in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods and devising testing methods and procedures.
  • Establishes standards for the disposition of finished product by devising evaluation tests, methods, and procedures.
  • Institutes rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
  • Creates product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintains ISO 9001 certification.
  • Maintains product quality and product safety, e.g., federal, state & local mandatory requirements, including but not limited to mandatory safety standards for USA, EU, Canada & other international markets by working with PCHI Product Compliance and enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures, as well as government requirements. Collaborates with other operations and engineering teams to develop new product and engineering designs.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and machine building teams to develop new/improved manufacturing and training methods.
  • Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Completes quality assurance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Leads quality assurance staff job results by coaching, counseling, and managing performance of employees.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Achieves financial objectives by managing the quality assurance budget, implementing cost savings measures, and reducing overall manufacturing costs.
  • Lead configuration management and product safety as well as quality team.

 

Skills Required:

Business Acumen:

  • Previous transformation and change management experience (driving, influencing and inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels).
  • Proficient in business analysis and ability to apply on the job experience is required for this position
  • Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete all tasks in a timely accurate manner.
  • Demonstrates the ability to determine goals, direction, and action steps necessary to maximize short-term and long-term.

  • Reacts quickly and appropriately to problems: identifies root cause, and resolves issues in a timely manner.

  • Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of direct reports.
  • Coaches, trains, and develops Associates informally and through formal training programs, providing both informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance-based feedback. Maintains a great work environment by creating an employee-centered workplace that demonstrates care and concern for all Associates.

 

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. or MBA with a Technical Undergraduate (Prefer Engineering undergraduate: Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial.
  • Experience implementing successful Total Quality Management (TQM) program
  • Five + years’ experience as Quality Manager
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards
  • Working knowledge of quality system requirements
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software
  • Proficient in Statistical Analysis and Trend Analysis
  • Experience in Flexible Technology
  • Production and Automation Manufacturing Experience
