Job Overview


The Senior Director of Learning & Development is responsible for creating the enterprise wide strategy to drive a high performance and leadership culture The Sr. Director leads the design and implementation of high-impact and sustainable learning, talent, and organizational development programs in support of strategic goals and company purpose/promise, enhancing the way we engage employees across all channels of PCHI. This role leads a team of learning professionals with a focus on retail stores, supply chain, manufacturing, merchandising and corporate corporate functions; the leader will partner closely with key leaders and HRBPs to understand needs, gaps and business strategy to best develop learning campaigns and integrate change leadership tools and programs into company initiatives. They provide specialized expertise, on-going support, design 'real time' customized solutions, and internal consulting services in their area of expertise. They collaborate with business leaders and agile teams to identify needs and gaps in performance, leadership and talent development. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to enhance organizational effectiveness, on-boarding and immersion of new employees, providing systemic and straight forward approaches to immersing them into the business.



The ideal candidate will possess a strong skillset in leading change, instructional design, OD and a progressive and modern approach to developing training that engages and inspires multiple generations of associates. The successful person for this role is a flexible, roll up your sleeves, enthusiastic team player who prefers to build vs manage existing programs and practices. They will have a proven track record in project management and delivering employee experience in all aspects of their role.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Implement a new, modern learning & development strategy, approach, process and protocol that reflects best practice and drives performance and advances culture; build a more metric drive approach to measuring impact of learning & development programs.

  • Collaborate with HRBPs and Senior Leadership to develop strategic programs to drive transformation, culture, leadership and role mastery. Partner with HRBPs to help associates build necessary skills and behaviors to manage and lead change.

  • Deliver informative, engaging and inspiring training to employees through a blended learning approach that includes video, social and peer learning, e-learning, virtual, certifications, on-the-job, coaching, mentoring and self- development activities.

  • Deliver role specific new employee training to support a fully immersive on-boarding experience where employees feel supported through knowledge, networks and mentoring.

  • Ensure role mastery to enable high performance by providing multiple training, coaching, and advancement opportunities. Support role changes and promotions with appropriate readiness and transition programs.

  • Drive confidence levels of employees by investing in their ability to perform and lead through coaching, 360 and development assignments. Advance talent capabilities through coaching and development programs

  • Lead direct reports and/or cross-functional partners, and vendors in program design and implementation of end-to-end performance & team development solutions that include the evaluation, design, and delivery of programs

  • Serve as liaison or champion between the broader learning communities to establish common standards, best practices, policies and procedures; Integrate continuous innovation and improvement into the culture that affirms a best place to work

  • Develop and facilitate high impact training that maximizes participation, comprehension and application of the material using technology, interaction, and innovative tactics.

  • Facilitates meetings/workshops aimed at organizational improvement and effectiveness.

  • Effectively leverage data to formulate insights, recommendations and measure impact of initiatives on culture and performance.

  • Provide expert technical guidance and act as an internal consultant / trusted advisor on initiatives related to culture, performance & organization design building out specific tactics and interventions to implement.

  • Provide, tailor/develop and implement change management expertise and tools, with focus on the people side

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree: equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted instead.

  • Minimum 10 years work experience in similar role, preferably in retail.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of LMS, , leadership development.
