Job Description

Job Purpose

This position is primarily responsible for transporting product from our main production facility to Anagram’s distribution center and warehouse in a safe, professional and timely manner while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate driving skills including, but not limited to, proper following distance, proper eye lead, proper stopping distance, checking intersections, using safety wedge, proper use of horn, left/ right turn execution, seat belt use, checking and scanning mirrors, maintaining proper speed, proper lane observance, parking in appropriate locations and avoiding backing-up. Must comply with DOT standards and follow all DOT policies and processes. Keep a clean and orderly cab and trailer.
  • Built relationships with Anagram’s internal and external customers. Communicate with customers by name during deliveries and exhibit a professional, polite and assertive demeanor. Respond to customer requests and forward necessary personnel as needed.
  • Utilize handheld and printer equipment to successfully invoice and document daily activities. Complete proper handheld transactions for miss-picks transfers, and additional product sales. Physically return product to warehouse when needed.
  • Update management with accurate information when changes occur. Communicate directly with co-workers on issues, openly shares ideas with others, encourage performance in others, give feedback when needed, and trains new employees when applicable.
  • Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow corporate safety guidelines and requirements (no cell phones while driving, pre-trip/ post-trip inspections, proper bending, etc.), use personal protective equipment, proactively address any unsafe conditions observed and lock vehicle.
  • Must maintain clean truck, including interior and box or trailer.
  • Willing to complete warehouse duties as assigned, including daily usage of Electric forklifts and pallet jacks

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Skills, Education Required

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma / GED equivalent preferred
  • No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
  • No DWI-DUI within last 10 years
  • Disciplined, dependable, resourceful, and able to work independently
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Successful completion of post offer Minncor background checks, drug screen, DOT physical and motor vehicle report
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which may include early morning/late night hours; Willing to work any day of the week, weekends, Holidays and required over-time as specific to role
  • Must possess basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently; operate sit down forklift, pallet jack, reach forklift, and scissor lift.
  • Comply with all DOT, ICC and in-house regulations and rules

Expected Working Hours

  • Rotating weekly shift of 5:00am – 5:00pm Wednesday through Saturday and Thursday through Saturday
  • Overtime as needed
