Job Overview:

The Inventory Systems Planner is responsible for providing functional expertise of the enterprise-wide Relex Demand Forecasting application and related processes, ensuring that the system is functional in accordance with our business policies, supporting the Inventory Operations team. With a focus on continuous improvement, the Systems Planner will pursue new functionality, best practice training, and report generation. The role serves as the first point of contact for internal team members to seek out for troubleshooting and expertise/advice when it comes to system usage. As necessary, the Systems Planner will work directly with Relex representatives and Party City IT team to solve issues and partner on new technology.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure day-to-day health of Relex forecasting system; perform system maintenance and maintain master data within inventory planning areas and processes, as needed.

  • Troubleshoot system issues, manage tickets, and work with IT and/or Relex representatives on resolution

  • Support Inventory Operations team with system configurations and updates.

  • Participate in discussions with Inventory and Merchandising partners to adapt the forecasting system to effectively accommodate business unit needs.

  • Review and analyzes forecasting and inventory data to prepare reports for management review.

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as needed.

  • Meet regularly with Relex partners to discuss business requirements, system needs, and system health.

  • Conduct training sessions to inventory and demand planner community on the Relex system and related best practices to ensure sound executional execution.

  • Work with Inventory Operations and Supply Chain to support total demand aggregation efforts.

  • Make recommendations to effectively maintain and manage the appropriate in-stock positions and inventory across both stores and SKUs.

  • Help Inventory Planners achieve and maintain target in stock levels, vendor fill rates and planned inventory turns.

  • Manage Relex system to effectively support sales plans, provide accurate lost sales, order forecasts and allocations

  • Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering preferred or equivalent experience
    • 2-4 years of experience in planning, allocation, or replenishment in a retail environment
    • Experience in high volume, fast paced, retail environment
    • Ability to work collaboratively and influence multiple partners on business decisions and able to troubleshoot issues for best possible resolution.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from quantitative and qualitative data
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
    • Understanding of data analytics and inventory management systems required
    • Strong grasp of merchandising & inventory financials along with retail math
    • General business acumen: should be able to understand the big picture and how each tasks align to it
    • Expert technical skill proficiency (PC-based) using functions in Excel – v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.

  • Office Environment

    Expected Salary Range: $64,320-$80,400

    The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. PCHI reserves the right to pay more or less than the stated range based on a variety of factors such as experience, geography, etc.
