Job Overview

The Product Owner will help lead and deliver next-generation products and service experiences. This role is a critical component to the Party City digital ecosystem, responsible for championing the users and customers of the business as it executes the overall vision, strategy, and digital roadmap.  With an in-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, the Product Owner will combine strategic, high-level thinking with hands-on in-the-trenches tactics to bring innovative and day-to-day experience improvements to life. This role will translate the overall product vision into tangible user stories that will shape the design, development and deployment of a successful product. Success requires exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, along with an ability to solve problems collaboratively and drive a culture of focus, reducing interruption and distraction for development and design teams.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage operational rollout of new features, product updates, site optimizations and other digital projects
  • Responsible for vision and roadmap of the digital product
  • Prioritizes product enhancements and regularly assesses impact, effort, risk
  • Accountable for daily operation of the digital product including end-to-end execution, function, and quality
  • Continuously identifies opportunities to improve product experience, leveraging data, customer insights, feedback, and analytics.
  • Writes clear user stories, acceptance criteria for agile development
  • Strong IT acumen, collaborates closely with developers  

  • Develop a metric and KPI based performance framework to measure success
  • Engages with internal stakeholders at various levels and cross-functionally to identify opportunities for new developments and innovation
  • Manage an agile scrum team to drive implementation of the Omnichannel roadmap and support
  • Owns Agile for efficient execution - daily scrum, sprint planning and grooming, sprint demo and retrospective meetings
  • In conjunction with the program manager, partner closely with key stakeholders to create requirements and maintain a ready and prioritized backlog
  • Evaluate existing processes for efficiency opportunities and lead the change

Expected Salary Range: $100,560 - $125,700

The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. PCHI reserves the right to pay more or less than the stated range based on a variety of factors such as experience, geography, etc.
