Job Overview:

The Production Artist creates and completes artwork files for the design of a wide variety of decorated party products. Using proprietary assets and specialized knowledge, the Production Artist ensures that artwork meets all visual, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements. Proficiency in Adobe applications is required. The ideal candidate is an experienced designer with a strong eye for layout, typography, color and composition, and the many small details which are required on final artwork. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Receive, interpret, and implement direction/feedback from project stakeholders
  • Solve design challenges while maintaining a high level of technical precision
  • Create production-ready and commercially viable artwork files using Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Interpret and apply approved templates and style guides to ensure consistency
  • Include technical information such as dimensions & safety warnings
  • Properly organize and name files, colors, layers, etc.
  • Use proprietary database to track project status
  • Participate in department meetings to discuss processes, project status etc.
  • Effectively communicate with inter-departmental stakeholders

Expected Salary Range: $64,320 - $80,400

The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. PCHI reserves the right to pay more or less than the stated range based on a variety of factors such as experience, geography, etc.

Job Requirements

Skills Required: 

  • Heightened creative and technical abilities
  • Knowledge of print production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to clearly explain design decisions

Qualifications: 

  • BA in design or related field 
  • 3-7 years’ work experience as a production artist
