 Job Overview:

As the Vice President of Pricing and Business Intelligence, you will play a critical role in shaping our pricing strategy to drive profitability and competitiveness in the market. You will oversee pricing intelligence, data management, and business intelligence and analytics with an emphasis on price management. You will lead a team responsible for analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and competitor pricing to develop pricing strategies that maximize revenue and margin while ensuring customer satisfaction.  You’ll achieve this through close partnership with the Product Development, Merchandising, and Wholesale finance teams.  The Vice President of Pricing and Business Intelligence will ensure appropriate consideration and attention to seasonal pricing adjustments, holiday deals, and cost reduction strategies

 

 Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets across product categories and channels.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify pricing opportunities and threats, including competitive pricing intelligence, customer segmentation, and demand forecasting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, finance, and sales teams to align pricing and promotional strategies with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Lead pricing optimization initiatives, including pricing elasticity analysis, promotional pricing strategies, and price sensitivity studies.
  • Establish and maintain pricing policies, guidelines, and processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization as well as with contractual commitments.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of pricing and promotional strategies and identify areas for improvement.

  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven insights and analysis.
  • Effectively incorporate consultant recommended improvements to internal standard process and practice

 Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field preferred
  • 10 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or related roles in retail and wholesale businesses with at least 6 years in a physical goods retailer of consumer goods.
  • Proven experience in implementing a pricing practice, internal pricing software, and effective ownership of all item price testing and mark-down cadence in a retail environment
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and margin expansion in a retail/omnichannel context.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
