Job Requirements of Sr. Tax Accountant:
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage the administration of the Corptax Tax software and serve as systems specialist for the team
- Assist with federal, state and city income tax return compliance, ensuring timely filing of complete and accurate income tax returns
- Assist in compiling and analyzing state and city apportionment factors
- Support state and local income tax audits
- Provide support to the quarterly/annual tax provision process
- Maintain and demonstrate a solid understanding of multi-state tax issues and complexities
- Responsible for tax depreciation using SAGE system
- Perform additional duties and relevant responsibilities where needed
Skills Required:
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a cross functional team environment, while also building strong team relationships
- Ability to learn new tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments
- Possess strong organizational and analytical skill
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical skills with detail orientation
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's/Masters Degree in Accountant, Finance, Business, or related field
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft software
- Relevant tax experience, including a combination of public accounting and corporate tax experience
- Knowledge of both corporate and partnership taxation
- Understanding of ASC 740 and tax accounting

Job Overview:
The Senior Tax Accountant prepares, and files returns, maintains regulatory compliance and creates or revises procedures for preparing taxes for businesses. Facilitate advanced tax research, resolve complex tax issues and stay updated on the latest tax laws to advise companies on changes they need to make. Also responsible for handling special projects including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax planning strategies across PCHI.
